Craig Kench
Prior to joining CEA CAPA, Craig managed educational facilities around the London area, worked for the UK government, and spent 10 years working and studying in the U.S. He holds a Master of Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Walsh University. Craig is originally from Gibraltar, raised in England, and is a former professional football (soccer) player. Katie Lander
Megan Randall
As the Director of US Career Development and Internship Programs, Megan manages and supports the team of US-based Career Coaches and leads the pre-departure career coaching and placement processes for students participating in any Global Internship, Business Consulting, Community-Based Global Learning, or Research Placement program. Additionally, Megan draws on her extensive career coaching background to design and integrate innovative career readiness programming and curricula into all stages of a student’s program (before, during, and after) across all CEA CAPA program types. Megan applies a Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) lens and employs career development trends and best practices to inform her work, with the goal of making CEA CAPA the preferred provider for the career development of students within the field of education abroad. Megan has studied, interned, researched, and volunteered abroad in Africa and Central America, and has 12+ years’ experience advising and coaching students on their personal, professional, academic, intercultural, and career development. She holds a Master’s Degree in International Education from the SIT Graduate Institute and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Skidmore College. She is a NACE-Certified Career Coach, Gallup-Certified CliftonStrengths Coach, and is in the process of becoming an ICF-accredited Professional Certified Coach (PCC).
José Balza
José Balza is responsible for providing oversight of the operational and delivery components of CEA CAPA internships globally, with a focus on constant process improvements and optimizations. He plays a vital role in continuously improving the quality of the student experience, as well as identifying gaps and efficiencies in each component of the CEA CAPA internship program experience: application process, career coaching and placement process, internship delivery, and assessment and reporting. José has a BA in Communication from Arturo Michelena University in his home country Venezuela and is a TEFL certified instructor from the Hunter College of the City University of New York. Before joining CEA CAPA, José held different manager and coordinator positions in the Communications and Live Theater industries. José has worked in education for 10+ years, as Adjunct Professor for Broadcast Production & Operations at his alma mater, and as an EFL teacher for varying institutions. For 4 years, he lived in Argentina and was part of the in-country CEA CAPA Buenos Aires team, where he developed a substantial network of internship partners, coached students through their study & internship abroad journey, and coordinated experiential learning activities integral to the academic curricula of the Study Center. He also supported course development initiatives and program operations. José is an avid concertgoer and coffee drinker; he enjoys traveling and connecting with people from different backgrounds.
